Mokpo Maritime University Holds Graduation Ceremony for Executive Management Program
Korea's 'First' Establishment in the Marine and Fisheries Sector
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Mokpo National Maritime University (President Park Sung-hyun) announced on the 1st that it held the graduation ceremony for the "1st Marine and Fisheries Executive Program" on the 28th at the university headquarters' 5th-floor Executive Lecture Room.
At the ceremony, certificates were awarded to 29 graduates who completed the course, and a total of 70 million KRW in development funds were donated to the university, including 50 million KRW jointly raised by the 1st batch of members, 10 million KRW from member Lee Bong-jun (CEO of Hanil Sangsa Co., Ltd.), and 10 million KRW from member Kim Samsung (CEO of Korea Engineering Co., Ltd.).
The Mokpo National Maritime University Executive Program, the first marine and fisheries management course established in Korea, was operated with various curricula providing specialized information and comprehensive management education in the marine and fisheries fields.
Over the past year, lectures were conducted by inviting excellent professional instructors and scholars while adhering to COVID-19 prevention guidelines. The program is evaluated to have made a significant contribution to acquiring new knowledge in marine and fisheries management and strengthening networks in the marine sector.
Kim Gwi-dong, president of the Mokpo National Maritime University Alumni Association, conveyed a congratulatory message via online video, stating, "I am proud that talents who have succeeded as management leaders in the region have become new intellectuals and alumni through the executive program completed at their alma mater."
