The Golf Writers Association of America (GWAA) announced on the 29th (Korean time), "In the Female Player of the Year voting, Kim Se-young received 69% of the votes, surpassing Danielle Kang (USA) to be chosen as the winner." Kim Se-young had her best year, winning her first major title at the LPGA KPMG Women's PGA Championship in October last year and also winning the Pelican Championship in November. She ranked first in LPGA Tour Player of the Year and second in prize money.
