Incheon City Increases and Replaces 42 Disabled Call Taxis... Operating a Total of 169 Vehicles
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Incheon City plans to increase the number of call taxis for the disabled by 24 vehicles and replace 18 old vehicles in the first half of this year.
As a result, the total number of call taxis for the disabled in the Incheon area will increase to 169, and the waiting time for boarding is expected to be shortened compared to before.
The city has been increasing the number of call taxis for the disabled every year, and since 2019, it has developed a smartphone app that not only allows users to call a taxi but also check the number of people currently waiting, view their recent usage history, and reapply, thereby improving user convenience.
To use the call taxi for the disabled, users can download the 'Incheon Disabled Call Taxi' app on their smartphones and go through a one-time identity verification process. Disabled individuals who do not use smartphones can call the call center (1577-0320) as before.
