Lotte Department Store Sells 'Limited Quantity' Old Vintage Wine Lunar New Year Gift Sets
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Lotte Department Store will introduce a limited quantity of collectible old vintage wines starting from the 18th.
Last year, Lotte Department Store's wine category showed explosive growth, increasing by 22% compared to the previous year due to the spread of the home drinking trend. Not only are wine beginners and the general market expanding, but the premium market for wine enthusiasts is also experiencing high growth.
In particular, the preferred products for enthusiasts who enjoy premium wine are vintage wines. The production volume of famous wine producers is very limited, and the harvest quantity and quality of wine are determined each year depending on the weather. Accordingly, wine enthusiasts collect small quantities of imported vintage wines and increase their product value through long-term storage of over 10 years.
Lotte Department Store has focused on researching rare wines for the premium market of wine enthusiasts this year and secured the remaining stock currently available.
For this Lunar New Year gift set, a total of 25 carefully selected old vintage wines worth 350 million KRW have been secured. Among them, for the French Bordeaux first-class Grand Cru wines, carefully selected products with both collectible value and rarity include Ch?teau Mouton Rothschild 1945 (39 million KRW, 1 bottle), Ch?teau Lafite Rothschild 2000 (6.5 million KRW, 3 bottles), and Ch?teau Latour 2000 (4 million KRW, 3 bottles).
The way to purchase vintage wines is to visit a nearby Lotte Department Store wine shop and place an order. Since these are premium wines, they will be specially prepared and shipped in a way that prevents damage to the products.
