First Detection of South Africa-Origin Variant Virus in Denmark as Well

On the 16th (local time), according to a report by dpa news agency citing the Danish National Serum Institute (SSI), the South African variant of the coronavirus was found in an incoming traveler who had visited Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Denmark had already confirmed its first case of the UK variant of the coronavirus several weeks ago, and later announced that 256 people had been infected with it.

SSI stated that confirmed cases infected with the UK variant account for 3.6% of all COVID-19 cases, and it is expected that this number will continue to increase.
