Gimhae City Opens Applications for Gimhae-style Youth Hope Support Fund Starting from the 20th
Support for Youth Excluded from the Government's 3rd Disaster Relief Package
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Gimhae City, Gyeongnam, has taken direct action for young people excluded from the 3rd disaster relief fund.
The city announced on the 15th that from the 20th to the 2nd of next month, it will accept applications for the ‘Gimhae-type Youth Hope Support Fund’ to help young people who lost their jobs due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
They will select 250 young people aged 18 to 39 with addresses in Gimhae City who have worked for more than 4 weeks in part-time or short-term jobs and lost their jobs after July 1 of last year, when the Gyeongsangnam-do Youth Hope Support Fund recruitment closed, and provide 500,000 KRW per person.
Youth who lost their jobs while working at workplaces located in other cities or provinces can also receive support if they meet the age, resident registration, and unemployment requirements.
In addition to involuntary unemployment due to COVID-19, those who voluntarily resigned due to prolonged unpaid leave and those unemployed due to the expiration of their labor contract period can also apply.
Eligible applicants will be individually notified after qualification screening, and if the number of applicants exceeds the recruitment number, priority will be given to selected candidates according to the screening criteria.
Applicants wishing to receive support should prepare an application form signed by both the employer and the applicant, a consent form for the collection and use of personal information, proof of employment, and a copy of the bankbook to receive the payment, and apply through the city hall website.
