KT Launches 'Paperless' Military Certificate Electronic Issuance Service
[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] KT is collaborating with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the Military Manpower Administration to provide a 'paperless electronic certificate service' for military personnel.
According to KT on the 11th, this service connects the 'KT Paperless Platform' and 'KT Paperless App' in real-time with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's system, supporting various application civil affairs tasks without the need for separate certificate attachments.
By using this service, soldiers do not need to visit a store with a military service certificate issued by the local Military Manpower Administration, the Government24 website, or community centers to receive military-exclusive benefits from the telecom company. For example, a soldier who needs to subscribe to KT's 'Y Goonin Plus' plan can install the KT Paperless App, obtain the military service certificate from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety through the installed app, and apply for the desired service non-face-to-face.
The paperless electronic certificate service for military personnel is available on smartphones using Android. The service range will be expanded to iPhones in the future. KT plans to support various other proof documents besides the military service certificate to increase convenience for military personnel.
