Police Request Arrest Warrant for 70-Year-Old Suspect in Arson of 'Yoon Seok-yeol Support Wreath'
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] On the 6th, the Seocho Police Station in Seoul applied for an arrest warrant on charges of arson of general property against Moon (74), who set fire to a wreath supporting Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol.
Moon is accused of pouring a flammable substance and setting fire to wreaths lined up near the main gate of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office at around 9:52 a.m. the previous day. Five wreaths were burned in the fire.
It is known that Moon was carrying a thinner container when he was arrested at the scene. About 1 liter of flammable material remained inside the thinner container. He also distributed dozens of documents advocating prosecutorial reform, claiming that he had been harmed by past prosecutorial investigations.

Moon is also known to have attempted self-immolation in April 2013, claiming, "I served a prison sentence unfairly because of prosecutors," and stating, "We must not leave the corrupt prosecution as it is."
