Eunpyeong-gu Provides Public Jobs to 308 Residents in the First Half of This Year
Selected 308 People in 6 Fields, Strict Compliance with Quarantine Rules Maintained
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Eunpyeong-gu (Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) is providing a total of 308 public jobs from January 11 to June 30 as part of the job creation project for low-income and employment-vulnerable groups through the '2021 First Half Seoul Citizens Safe Job Project and Public Social Job Project.'
The public job project selected a total of 308 people in six fields: ▲185 people in two fields of the Seoul Citizens Safe Job Project (public service support project, environmental maintenance and daily quarantine support project) ▲123 people in four fields of the Public Social Job Project (environmental maintenance and civil complaint guidance, pedestrian safety guidance project, Yeonsinnae pedestrian safety assistant, School Zone traffic safety keeper).
Meanwhile, Eunpyeong-gu plans to provide safety education to workers before work placement and designate and operate managers at each workplace to take necessary measures for worker safety.
In addition, they plan to strictly comply with COVID-19 quarantine rules such as wearing masks while working.

An official from Eunpyeong-gu stated, “We will support participants not only by providing public jobs but also by linking them to sustainable private jobs through vocational training, job fairs, and job matching,” adding, “We aim to help stabilize livelihoods and revitalize the local economy.”
