LG HelloVision CEO: "We Will Properly Communicate Quality and Service to Customers"
[Asia Economy Reporter Joeslgina] "This year is the time to properly introduce services with excellent quality and reasonable prices to the customer market."
Song Gooyoung, CEO of LG HelloVision, stated this during the opening ceremony held online on the first working day of the new year, January 4th, saying, "Over the past year, we have gained the competitiveness to lead the market through efforts to improve products and services."
Marking the Year of the Black Ox, CEO Song emphasized, "We will actively identify and improve user complaints," adding, "Customer needs are HelloVision's strategy." He explained that the top priority is to increase customer satisfaction and achieve 'customer value innovation.' Earlier, through organizational restructuring, CEO Song promoted the newly established 'DX Team' to 'DX Lab' to strengthen data-driven business, and also created a separate 'Customer Value Innovation Lab' to resolve customer complaints.
Specifically, this year, the business stage will be largely reorganized into 'Home' and 'Community,' with home service businesses such as TPS and rental handed over to the 'Consumer Business Group,' and regional businesses such as media entrusted to the 'Community Business Group.' This is interpreted as an intention to strengthen responsible management of each group while maximizing synergy with adjacent businesses. They plan to further enhance product and service competitiveness, focus on securing full-fledged synergy, and secure new growth engines based on new businesses such as rental, cloud PC, and electric vehicle charging business.
During the 'Sweet Talk with the CEO' talk show held that day, CEO Song reflected on the past year, evaluating that "Despite the difficult competitive environment, we created 'premium services' for cable TV and converted subscribers of budget phones into net increases, achieving valuable business results." He emphasized, "The greatest achievement was that employees regained pride as the number one cable TV operator and fostered confidence and expectations that 'we can do it.'"
