On the same day, Kim appeared on YTN Radio's 'Hwang Bo-seon's Start of a New Morning' and said, "In principle, although the court granted a stay of execution this time, even looking at the decision document, Yoon Seok-yeol's wrongful and illegal actions are acknowledged," and continued, "Therefore, since impeachment can be carried out when illegal or dangerous actions are taken, the requirements for impeachment are met in principle."
Kim said, "I think the impeachment system is a significant and difficult decision for the country, and of course, that statement is not wrong," and added, "Impeachment of ordinary public officials who are not elected officials is actually a unique function of the National Assembly, so in a way, it should be carried out routinely to check the executive branch."
He continued, "Impeachment of prosecutors or judges is not a very difficult system; rather, it should be recognized as a system that can occur routinely," and said, "That way, judges and prosecutors can reflect on themselves and it can have a warning effect, so it should not be considered too difficult."
Additionally, regarding the nomination of the head candidate for the High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Agency (Gongu-cheo), Kim said, "I expect that candidate Kim Jin-wook will be finally selected."
He added, "The concern is whether the opposition party will properly cooperate during the confirmation hearing process or whether they will stall or obstruct," and said, "There is a high possibility that they will use stalling or refusal to agree until the end as a political offensive claiming that it was handled unilaterally."
