Gimhae City, Abundant Harvest Amid COVID-19 Challenges
55 Categories Awarded, 1.8 Billion Incentives Earned, Triple Last Year's Amount
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Gimhae City in Gyeongnam announced on the 30th that it secured 1.808 billion won in financial incentives by winning awards in 55 categories in evaluations conducted by central government ministries, Gyeongsangnam-do Province, and other higher-level and external organizations this year.
Despite the national disaster situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Gimhae City secured nearly three times the evaluation financial incentives of 670 million won from last year through excellent municipal administration.
By institution, there were 24 cases from central government ministries, 12 from Gyeongsangnam-do Province, and 19 from external organizations, achieving results in various fields such as health and welfare, administrative safety, and environment.
Major awards include receiving the highest SA grade for two consecutive years in the nationwide basic local government heads' pledge fulfillment and information disclosure evaluation, and being selected as an excellent institution for four consecutive years in the nationwide local government job awards.
Additionally, it was the only local government nationwide to win the local finance best practice evaluation award for four consecutive years.
