Philippines Bans Entry from 19 Countries with 'COVID Variant' Cases
[Asia Economy Reporter Joselgina] The Philippines has expanded its travel ban to block the entry of new coronavirus (COVID-19) variant viruses.
According to major foreign media, the Philippine government announced on the 29th that from 00:01 until the 15th, it will ban the entry of passengers departing from or transiting through 19 countries, including Korea, where COVID-19 variant infections have occurred. The ban will be in effect from the 30th until the 15th of next month. The ban applies to Filipino nationals and foreigners entering from those countries.
