Joo Ho-young, the floor leader of the People Power Party, said at the party's floor strategy meeting held at the National Assembly that "President Moon Jae-in said yesterday that the first (vaccine) inoculation could start in February, but Jeong Eun-kyeong, the head of the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, said it could vary depending on the situation, so the public is wondering when the vaccines will be procured and when immunity will be possible." He added, "We propose to the Democratic Party to hold an emergency parliamentary inquiry during this extraordinary session of the National Assembly to resolve these doubts and confirm the transparent administration the government has claimed."
Floor leader Joo said, "We hope responsible government officials come forward and clearly explain how the vaccines have been contracted, procured, and supplied," adding, "We will ensure that the emergency parliamentary inquiry is held during the remaining schedule of the extraordinary session until January 8."
