View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education announced on the 29th that it will sign a collective agreement with the Seoul branch of the Korean Teachers and Education Workers Union (JeonGyoJo).
This collective agreement comes five years after the last one in 2015 and four months after JeonGyoJo regained its legal status.
The Seoul branch of JeonGyoJo submitted over 300 collective bargaining demands on August 25 and reached an agreement with the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education on September 10. Subsequently, after preliminary and working-level negotiations, a final total of 281 items were confirmed.
