HiteJinro Expands Home Market with Jinro's First PET Bottle Launch
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seon-ae] Hite Jinro is expanding and strengthening its home market by newly launching Jinro PET bottles.
According to Hite Jinro on the 28th, the newly released PET bottles are two types of home-use products with capacities of 400㎖ and 640㎖. PET soju offers good portability and convenience. In particular, the 640㎖ product, which is about 1.8 times the volume of a regular soju bottle (360㎖), has the highest demand within the PET market.
When launching the Jinro PET product, Hite Jinro adopted a package design that preserves the shape and volume of the existing bottle. This is to create an atmosphere as close as possible to drinking from a bottle soju. The label and cap also use the same sky blue color as the existing bottle, making it highly noticeable.
In October, Hite Jinro released a 160㎖ mini pack soju for home drinkers. This product sold 1 million packs within just one month of its launch. On the 7th, considering the delivery market, they launched a Jinro mini pack soju product for entertainment use.
Jinro PET bottles will be released sequentially nationwide. The ex-factory prices are 1,208.9 won (400㎖) and 2,027.33 won (640㎖).
