Songpa-gu to Provide 400,000 KRW Childbirth Support Fund for Second Child Next Year
Songpa-gu Produces and Posts '2021 New Year Changing Policies'... Useful Information for Residents' Daily Lives Gathered in One Place
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Songpa-gu (Mayor Park Seong-su) is improving and newly establishing systems for the better lives of its 670,000 residents, and will promote more substantial policies in the new year of 2021.
On the 27th, the district announced that it will produce 'One Year Older Songpa, Systems Changing in the New Year 2021,' which contains content closely related to residents' daily lives.
This material organizes the newly established, abolished, or changed systems and policies from the central government, Seoul city, and Songpa-gu starting in the new year into five categories?Finance/Taxation, Education/Childcare/Family, Welfare/Health, Safety/Environment, and Administration/Daily Life?making it easy to understand and helpful for residents' real lives.
Major changes from the new year include ▲ Songpa-type 3-step Starting Support Fund ▲ Expansion of the Care SOS Center project ▲ Increased fines and penalties for illegal parking in school zones ▲ Earthquake safety facility certification support project ▲ Operation of integrated automobile registration civil service counters.
First, Songpa-gu will provide the 'Songpa-type 3-step Starting Support Fund' consisting of ▲ expanded childbirth congratulatory money support (expanded to cover up to the first child and increased to 400,000 KRW for the second child and 2,000,000 KRW for the fifth child) ▲ entrance support fund for middle and high school students (300,000 KRW) ▲ and coming-of-age starting support fund, targeting residents starting each life stage for the first time.
Also, the pilot 'Care SOS Center project' will be expanded to all neighborhoods (dong) in the district from the new year, providing residents in urgent need of care with 'customized 8 major care services' consisting of ▲ temporary home care (housework and nursing visit support) ▲ short-term facility admission ▲ accompaniment support ▲ residential convenience ▲ meal support ▲ welfare checks ▲ health support ▲ and information counseling.
Until now, automobile registration counters were scattered by task, causing many inconveniences for residents, but they will be integrated into a 'one-stop civil service counter.' From the new year, new, transfer, and change registrations for automobiles can be handled at a single counter.
In this way, Songpa-gu plans to continuously build an administrative service system centered on residents by improving systems that cause inconvenience in residents' lives.
Detailed information on 'One Year Older Songpa, Systems Changing in the New Year 2021' can be found in early January 2021 in e-book format on the Songpa-gu Office website under Our Songpa / Electronic Publications / Administrative Materials / Changing Systems.
