Especially next year, as the era of future cars approaches, competition to attract consumers is expected to intensify with the expansion of electric vehicle lineups.
According to the automotive industry on the 26th, Mercedes-Benz plans to showcase pure electric vehicles EQA and EQS centered around its electric vehicle brand, EQ. Mercedes-Benz officially launched its first pure electric EQ vehicle, The New EQC, in Korea last October.
The EQA, based on the compact SUV GLA model, is the production version of the first compact electric vehicle EQA of the EQ brand, which was unveiled at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. It is known to have a driving range of 402 km (WLTP standard) on a single charge.
The EQS is the production model of the concept car 'Vision EQS' revealed at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show. Based on the large sedan S-Class, it is reported to have a driving range of 700 km (WLTP standard) on a single charge.
Additionally, The New Mercedes S-Class, the 7th generation fully redesigned flagship sedan, which was unveiled at a digital premiere event this September, is scheduled to be released domestically in the first half of next year.
BMW Group Korea will launch the flagship pure electric vehicle iX and the pure electric model iX3 based on the X3 in Korea in the fourth quarter of next year. In addition, in the first quarter, it plans to release the New 4 Series, a 2-door sports coupe, among a total of 10 new BMW and MINI models to be introduced domestically.
The high-performance sports sedan BMW New M3 and sports coupe New M4 will be released in the first quarter, and in the second quarter, the high-performance M Performance model M135i from the New 1 Series lineup will be introduced. MINI will unveil facelifted models of the 3-door hatch, 5-door hatch, and convertible in the third quarter of next year.

In addition, Audi Volkswagen Korea will launch more than 20 new and facelifted models, including electric vehicles, across its four brands next year.
