Japan's COVID-19 New Cases Near 3,700... Highest Record for Two Consecutive Days
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Jae-hee] On the 24th, nearly 3,700 new cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) were confirmed in Japan.
According to NHK's tally, as of 6:20 PM on that day, 3,693 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed across Japan.
This marks the highest number of daily confirmed cases for two consecutive days, following 3,271 cases the previous day.
As a result, Japan's cumulative number of COVID-19 cases has increased to 211,391.
In Tokyo, 888 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed on that day. This surpassed the previous highest daily case record of 821 set on the 17th, just one week ago.
