Imsil-gun Selected for Traditional Market Parking Environment Improvement Contest Project
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] Imsil-gun, Jeonbuk announced on the 24th that two projects, including parking lot construction, were selected in the 2021 Traditional Market Revitalization Contest hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and Jeonbuk Province, securing a project budget of 1.7 billion KRW (1 billion KRW from national and provincial funds, 700 million KRW from the county).
This contest project included facility modernization such as additional parking lot construction and reconstruction of aging public restrooms to enhance the convenience of using the Imsil traditional market.
The project budget is 348 million KRW for the reconstruction of public restrooms and 1.36 billion KRW for the addition of 30 parking spaces, totaling 1.71 billion KRW.
Through this project, the county will improve one of the three aging public restrooms in the market, providing visitors with a pleasant public restroom.
Additionally, it is expected to resolve parking congestion issues around the market adjacent to the terminal.
County Governor Sim Min said, “With the selection of this contest project, we can further promote the convenience of visitors to the Imsil traditional market,” adding, “It is expected to enhance the competitiveness of the local traditional market and revitalize the local economy.”
