View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jihwan] As of 6 PM on the 24th, the number of new confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in South Korea was totaled at 668 nationwide. This is 27 fewer than the 695 cases reported at the same time the previous day.
By region, the cases are as follows: Seoul 206, Gyeonggi 202, Chungnam 62, Incheon 43, Chungbuk 33, Gyeongbuk 19, Busan and Daegu 17 each, Gyeongnam 14, Gwangju 13, Ulsan 12, Jeju 9, Gangwon 8, Jeonbuk 7, Daejeon 3, Jeonnam 2, and Sejong 1. Additional confirmed cases have been reported in all 17 cities and provinces nationwide.

The number of new confirmed cases to be announced as of midnight on the 25th is expected to increase to the 900s, possibly reaching around 1,000. Although there were 695 cases at 6 PM the previous day, the number rose to 985 by midnight.
