Gyeongbuk Office of Education Expands Installation of 'Sprinklers' in Small Attached Kindergartens
Installation of Sprinklers in Attached Kindergartens with Floor Area Under 300㎡ by 2023
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-ho] The Gyeongbuk Provincial Office of Education announced on the 24th that it will invest a budget of 15.84 billion KRW by 2023 to complete the installation of sprinkler systems in 345 attached kindergartens with a floor area of less than 300㎡.
Currently, all schools in the province have fire safety facilities such as fire detectors, indoor fire hydrants, and sprinkler systems legally installed for fire monitoring and extinguishing as stipulated by fire-related laws.
However, attached kindergartens with a floor area of less than 300㎡ are not mandated to have sprinklers by law, leaving them as fire blind spots.
