Exhibition of Award-Winning Photos from Gangbuk-gu Photo Contest Including Grand Prize 'Dawn of the Monument'
From December 28 to January 20, touring the Old Government Building, Gangbuk Culture and Arts Center, and Mia-dong Complex Government Building in sequence
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangbuk-gu (Mayor Park Gyeom-su) will hold a traveling exhibition of 16 award-winning works from the '9th Gangbuk-gu Photo Contest' starting from the 28th.
The grand prize winner of this contest is Choi Tae-hee's work titled "Dawn of the Memorial Tower." This piece captures the break of dawn at the Memorial Tower within the National April 19th Democratic Cemetery using a fisheye lens.
Along with this, the district will showcase three excellence award-winning works, including "New Year's Morning" and "Window of Bukhansan," which depict local landmarks and beautiful landscapes, as well as ten selected works.
The exhibition will be displayed in the lobby on the first floor of the district office from December 28th to January 6th of next year.
From January 7th to January 13th, the exhibition will continue in the lobby of the Gangbuk Culture and Arts Center, and from January 14th to January 20th, it will be held at the Mia-dong Complex Building.
The photos have also been posted on the internet broadcasting homepage to allow more people to view them.
Earlier, from August to October, a total of 386 entries were submitted for the contest held under the theme "Everything about Gangbuk-gu." After internal and external expert evaluations, 32 works were selected, and the final winners were determined based on combined scores from external expert judging and netizen recommendation evaluations.
