An Increase of 22.7 Billion KRW Compared to Last Year
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Sangju City, Gyeongbuk announced on the 23rd that it secured 109.7 billion KRW in national and provincial funds by being selected for 47 public contest projects from central government ministries and provincial-level contests in 2020.
This amount is 22.7 billion KRW more than last year. Accordingly, various projects that can respond to residents' needs, such as disaster risk area maintenance and improvement of rural living conditions, can be stably promoted.
The major public contest projects selected this year include ▲ Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Rural Agreement Pilot Project 42.8 billion KRW (national and provincial funds 33.0 billion KRW, ongoing until 2025) ▲ Ministry of the Interior and Safety Comprehensive Maintenance Project for Flood and Storm Damage Living Zones 43.2 billion KRW (national and provincial funds 28.1 billion KRW, ongoing until 2024) ▲ Disaster Risk Area Maintenance Project 30.0 billion KRW (national and provincial funds 19.5 billion KRW, ongoing until 2024) ▲ Gyeongbuk Province Local River Project 30.0 billion KRW (provincial funds 21.0 billion KRW, ongoing until 2023), etc.
In this regard, on the 24th of last month, a special lecture titled "Post-COVID-19 Balanced Development Policy Direction and National and Provincial Fund Securing Measures" was held. Sangju City explained that it is also making thorough preparations for public contest projects to secure national and provincial funds for 2021, including education to strengthen project promotion capabilities at this event.
