281 Additional Companies Selected as Non-Face-to-Face Service Voucher Providers
A total of 874 Companies Applied for Additional Recruitment... Providing Non-Face-to-Face Services in 6 Areas Including Video Conferencing and Remote Work
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Park Young-sun, hereinafter referred to as the Ministry) announced on the 23rd that it has additionally selected 281 supply companies providing non-face-to-face services such as video conferencing, telecommuting, and network/security solutions for small and venture businesses.
From November 4 to 16, a total of 874 companies applied for 1,111 service fields in the additional recruitment of non-face-to-face service supply companies. Through document evaluation and face-to-face evaluation by field, 281 companies (287 services) were finally selected.
In this selection evaluation, a presentation evaluation was conducted to enhance the validity of selecting excellent companies, and an experience evaluation group was formed mainly of demand companies that purchased the services. The evaluation also reflected the results of experiencing the actual services provided by the applicant companies.
Looking at the additionally selected supply companies this time, based on business duration, startup companies (less than 7 years since establishment) accounted for 151 companies, more than half of the total selection scale, representing 53.7%. Early startups under 3 years since establishment were also included with 59 companies (21.2%). A total of 4 mid-sized companies were selected. Based on service fields, telecommuting accounted for 39.7%, edutech 38.0%, followed by network/security solutions at 9.4%, and video conferencing at 5.9%.

With this additional selection, the total number of supply companies providing non-face-to-face services reaches 642 companies (694 services). Kim Juhwa, head of the Non-Face-to-Face Economy Division at the Ministry, said, "The selected supply companies will go through business agreements and service product registration processes and will officially provide services from the end of January next year through the 'K-Non-Face-to-Face Voucher Platform.'" He added, "The supply companies will play a leading role in spreading remote work and promoting digitalization for small and venture businesses in the post-COVID-19 era."
