View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] Sookmyung Women's University recruits new students from the Department of Dance, Department of Physical Education, College of Music, and College of Fine Arts in the regular admission Group A, and from the humanities and natural sciences departments in Group B.
Compared to last year, the changes include designating the social studies inquiry area for the humanities-type inquiry section of the College of Statistics in the CSAT, and reducing the CSAT reflection area to 30% while expanding the practical skills ratio to 70% for the Department of Dance. In the regular admission Group A, the Department of Physical Education selects new students using CSAT scores, practical exam scores, and interview exam scores, while the Department of Dance, College of Music, and College of Fine Arts select new students using CSAT scores and practical exam scores.
In the regular admission Group B, humanities and natural sciences select students based on 100% CSAT scores. The total number of recruits within the quota is 683, which is slightly decreased compared to last year. If there are unregistered students from the early admission, they will be transferred to the general student selection in the regular admission.
CSAT scores apply percentile ranks by subject area, and applicants must take the four CSAT subjects designated for each recruitment unit (three subjects for the Department of Physical Education, Department of Dance, and College of Fine Arts (excluding the Department of Painting), and two subjects for the College of Music and Department of Painting). For the Composition Department, unlike the previous year, Korean and English are each reflected at 50%.

For the humanities track, applicants who took Korean, Mathematics Type B, English, and Social Studies Inquiry (average of two subjects) or Korean, Mathematics Type A, English, and Science Inquiry (average of two subjects) can all apply, as in the previous year. However, there is no additional score for the CSAT reflection area, and the number of selected students is not divided, so applicants should be cautious. For the natural sciences track, four areas are reflected: Korean, Mathematics Type A, English, and Science Inquiry (average of two subjects). However, for the Computer Science major, Software Convergence major, and Department of Clothing, applicants who took Korean, Mathematics Type A, English, and Science Inquiry (average of two subjects) or Korean, Mathematics Type B, English, and Social Studies Inquiry or Science Inquiry (average of two subjects) can all apply. Outside the quota, a total of 31 students will be selected through the opportunity balance selection in the regular admission Group B. CSAT scores are reflected 100%, and there is no minimum CSAT academic achievement standard.
