View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] Kyung Hee University will select a total of 1,548 students in the 2021 regular admission, including 1,336 students through the CSAT-based screening and 212 students through the practical skills-based screening. The final number of recruits, including additional early admission rollover quotas, can be checked on the Kyung Hee University Admissions Office website before the regular admission application period.
Compared to the previous year, the CSAT-based screening for regular admission shows a slight increase in the number of recruits, but there are no major changes in the recruitment groups or score calculation methods. The Seoul Campus recruits under Group A, and the International Campus under Group B. Group A will select 611 students, and Group B will select 725 students, with selection based on total scores calculated 100% from CSAT results. The practical skills-based screening reflects CSAT scores at 20-40% depending on each recruitment unit. The CSAT and practical skills weighting ratios for each recruitment unit can be found in the recruitment guidelines.
Kyung Hee University classifies recruitment units into Humanities, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, and Arts & Physical Education departments. Humanities and Social Sciences consider Korean, Mathematics (Type B), two Social Studies subjects, English, and Korean History. Natural Sciences consider Korean, Mathematics (Type A), two Science subjects, English, and Korean History. Arts & Physical Education consider Korean, English, and one subject from the Inquiry area. Applicants must have taken the CSAT subjects corresponding to their department; if even one required subject is missing, application is not allowed. There are no additional bonus points or designated subjects in the Inquiry area. Also, for Humanities and Social Sciences only, the second foreign language and Chinese characters scores can substitute for one Social Studies subject.
For each CSAT subject area, Korean and Mathematics use standard scores, while English and Korean History are converted using the school's grade-based conversion scores. The percentile-to-standard score conversion table for the Inquiry area will be available on the Admissions Office website after individual CSAT score notifications.

Since the weighting ratios for CSAT subject areas differ among Humanities, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, and Arts & Physical Education, even if the simple total of standard scores is the same, the CSAT converted score may vary depending on the scores in the areas with higher weighting. For example, compared to Humanities, Social Sciences have a higher weighting for Mathematics. English scores are deducted starting from grade 2. Kyung Hee University Ad
