Gwangjin-gu Implements Organizational Restructuring and Promotions to Strengthen Safety and Welfare Sectors
Organizational Restructuring and Regular Personnel Changes Effective January 1, 2021... Focus on Strengthening Resident Safety and Welfare... Responding to Future Administrative Demands and Changes
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Seon-gap) has reorganized its administrative organization and conducted regular personnel appointments as of January 1, 2021, to respond to future administrative demands and changes, and to realize the regional values that residents dream of.
Prior to this, on the 21st, the district announced promotions for a total of 83 public officials below grade 4 to place personnel in the right positions and invigorate the organization.
This promotion was conducted based on the principle of practical personnel management, comprehensively considering work performance, career, and reputation, targeting a total of 83 people including 2 directors and 10 section chiefs.
The organizational restructuring to be implemented on January 1 next year is promoted with the aim of strengthening administrative functions in the fields of child protection, resident welfare, and living safety, based on the results of self-analysis and diagnosis of organizational operations after a large-scale reorganization in January this year.
The main contents are ▲ establishment of a Child Protection Team to expand child protection policies ▲ division of the existing Building Safety Team into the Building Safety Support Team and Building Safety Management Team to strengthen living safety ▲ strengthening welfare functions of community service centers to respond to changes in residents' lives after the post-COVID-19 era.
In addition, the district plans to conduct regular personnel appointments to place talented individuals with capabilities for rapid and effective policy implementation in response to the COVID-19 situation.
Mayor Kim Seon-gap said, “This organizational restructuring and regular personnel appointments focused on enhancing organizational efficiency and responsiveness to effectively respond to the COVID-19 situation,” and added, “We will realize changed administration that residents can feel through flexible organizational management tailored to the circumstances of Gwangjin-gu.”
