[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Gimcheon City announced on the 22nd that it has organized and started operating the '2021 Joint Design Team for Construction Projects' to expedite the execution of construction projects.
The Joint Design Team is composed of 88 civil engineering public officials under the city, divided into 5 groups, led by the Director of the Construction Safety Bureau. Next year's construction projects include a total of 1,321 cases such as urban and rural development projects, urban planning road projects, river maintenance projects, and water supply and sewage projects, which are campaign pledges of the 7th local government. The project scale amounts to 226.9 billion KRW.
By operating this Joint Design Team, Gimcheon City explained that all civil engineering officials can enhance their work capabilities through mutual technical exchange via joint work, as well as achieve substantial and efficient design.
Choi Woo-rak, Director of the Construction Safety Bureau of Gimcheon City, pledged, "We will actively reflect the demands of local residents in the designs to resolve residents' long-standing projects, and do our best to revitalize the local economy, which has been stagnated due to COVID-19, and promote the construction industry by early ordering."
