Muan-gun Route 9 (Jeonnam 503) Overseas Entrant Tests Positive During Self-Quarantine
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] An overseas entrant who was quarantined at a temporary COVID-19 facility in Muan, Jeonnam, tested positive for COVID-19 on the 20th and was classified as Muan case number 9 (Jeonnam case number 503).
According to Muan County on the 21st, the confirmed case arrived at Incheon Airport on the 19th and stayed at the Muan County COVID-19 temporary quarantine facility (former Hyeongyeong High School) before testing positive.
The spouse who traveled with the confirmed case tested negative and was placed under self-quarantine, and no other travel routes or separate contacts have been identified.

A county official stated, “The confirmed case was transferred to Gangjin Medical Center, and the temporary facility has been disinfected,” adding, “We ask for active cooperation in preventing COVID-19 by strictly adhering to quarantine rules such as wearing masks at all times, refraining from year-end and New Year gatherings, and regular ventilation.”
