[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] SK Magic announced on the 21st that it received the 'Silver Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit' in recognition of its contribution to job creation.
The 'Government Award for Contribution to Job Creation,' hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, is a system that has been in place since 2009 to discover and reward individuals and organizations that have made efforts to increase jobs or create quality jobs.
Ryu Kwonju, CEO of SK Magic, was selected as the recipient of the highest honor, the Silver Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit, in recognition of his leadership in creating quality jobs by promoting employment of youth, women, and people with disabilities, as well as exemplary practices in work-life balance, thereby fostering a positive social atmosphere.
SK Magic was selected as a top job creation company again this year, following 2018. Despite uncertain internal and external environmental changes, SK Magic maintained employment, resulting in a total of 1,166 employees as of August, marking a 53% increase in employment compared to 2017.
