According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 21st, resident A of Jinwol-dong, Nam-gu, was confirmed positive for COVID-19 last night and was registered as case number 879.
Case 879 was classified as a contact of case 802, a pastor residing in Gyeonggi-do, and developed symptoms during self-quarantine, leading to a COVID-19 test.
Meanwhile, including the previously announced 12 confirmed cases in the Gwangju area, a total of 13 cases were confirmed in one day.
