At the event held at the Busanjin-gu Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, due to the escalation of social distancing measures amid the COVID-19 pandemic, instead of making kimchi directly, finished products and rice cake soup ingredients (tteokguk, eggs, anchovy broth packs) were packaged and prepared, delivering goods worth approximately 6 million KRW.
Attendees of the event included Lions Club President Joo Hyung-gyu, Secretary General Kim Chang-ryeol, Vice President of Zone 5 (Busanjin-gu) Shim Jae-hyo, district officers of the affiliated clubs, club presidents, and executive members.
The 8 clubs consisting of Bukbusan, Busanjin, Oryukdo, Seomyeon, Daehwa, Sammi, Mokhwa, and Samsung directly delivered goods to elderly living alone and low-income households selected by the Busanjin-gu Comprehensive Social Welfare Center.
