Aekyung Industrial Signs MOU with Shopee, Southeast Asia's Largest Platform

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] Lifestyle beauty company Aekyung Industrial announced on the 18th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to establish a partnership with Shopee, the largest online commerce platform in Southeast Asia.
Through this agreement with Shopee, Aekyung Industrial plans to strengthen the official sales of its products and jointly conduct marketing activities to enhance brand awareness, fostering mutual cooperation.
Additionally, based on the domestic and international success know-how of Aekyung Industrial’s representative cosmetic brand Age 20's and makeup specialist brand Luna, the company will introduce products tailored to Southeast Asian consumers through collaboration with Shopee.
The MOU signing ceremony was attended by Aekyung Industrial CEO Jae-young Lim, Shopee Korea Head Yuna Kwon, and related officials.
An Aekyung Industrial official stated, “Through this agreement, we will better understand Southeast Asia, which is emerging as a huge consumer market, and introduce competitive products suited to the region, accelerating our efforts to capture the Southeast Asian market.”
Prior to this agreement ceremony, in October, Aekyung Industrial opened an official store on Shopee and launched Age 20's and Luna, officially starting sales targeting Southeast Asian consumers who have a strong interest in K-beauty.
