Gram lineup's first 16-inch model, weighing 1190g
Equipped with large-capacity battery, robust durability... Price 2.09 million won
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] LG Electronics is launching the 2021 model laptop 'LG Gram' in South Korea. A 16-inch model, which was not available in the previous Gram series, will also be introduced.
LG Electronics announced that from the 17th to the 3rd of next month, LG Gram pre-orders will be available at LG Electronics Best Shops, nationwide electronics stores, and online retailers. The 2021 Gram will be released in three sizes: 14, 16, and 17 inches.
At the online launch event held on the 16th, singer Henry listened to the Gram's key features and created the Gram Song. IT YouTuber B-Note unboxed the Gram 16 and introduced its portability, design, and battery life.
The Gram 16 weighs only 1190g and has been certified by the Guinness World Records as the lightest 16-inch laptop. It is equipped with a large-capacity 80 watt-hour (Wh) battery.
It features Intel's 11th generation Tiger Lake processor, offering 20% faster processing speed compared to previous models. The graphics are powered by Intel's integrated Iris Xe graphics processor, delivering clear high-definition video.
The Gram 16 has a 16:10 aspect ratio with a WQXGA high-resolution display. It offers clearer and sharper image quality than 15.6-inch laptops. The corners are finished at right angles, minimizing the exposure of the seam connecting the screen and keyboard to enhance screen immersion. It has passed seven US Department of Defense reliability tests including shock, high temperature, dust, and low pressure.
The laptop will be available in three colors: White, Silver, and Black. The price is 2,090,000 KRW (based on model 16Z90P-GA50K) and varies by model. Customers who pre-order will receive a Gram Box package as a gift, which includes wireless earphones 'LG Tone Free,' a 512GB SSD, and a Starbucks pouch.
