French luxury brand Louis Vuitton has released the 'Shiba Bag' inspired by the Shiba Inu, drawing mixed reactions from consumers.
Recently, Louis Vuitton officially launched the 'Shiba Bag' as part of its Pre-Fall collection. The product features a soft shearling material with natural cowhide leather handles, and includes a detachable and adjustable monogram canvas strap. It is designed in the shape of a Shiba Inu and can be used as both a shoulder bag and a crossbody bag.
Louis Vuitton described the 'Shiba Bag' as "an item with a witty aesthetic and an impressively spacious interior, making it easy to carry your daily essentials."
The dimensions of the product are 21 cm in width, 25 cm in height, and 31 cm in depth. It is currently available for purchase on the official Louis Vuitton website and at offline stores. The price is 12.2 million won.
However, since its release, consumer responses have been mixed. Some consumers have commented that, given its price of over 10 million won, the bag lacks practicality. Online users remarked, "Can you really carry the Shiba Bag in daily life?", "It looks too much like a toy, so I don't feel the desire to buy it," and, "Wouldn't it be better to buy another bag for the same price?"
On the other hand, some believe that despite the differing opinions, there is sufficient demand in the luxury market. One online user said, "Even if it's expensive, those who want it will eventually buy it," adding, "There may even be buyers who find its unique appearance appealing."

In December last year, Louis Vuitton sold a keyring modeled after the popular winter snack 'Bungeoppang' for 1.41 million won. Louis Vuitton described the item as "the LV Bungeoppang Bag Charm, a cultural tribute to fish-shaped pastries," and explained that "it can also be used as a pouch for storing small belongings."
In addition, Louis Vuitton has attracted attention by introducing bag charms shaped like donuts, croissants, chocolate bars, biscuits, and fortune cookies, all priced in the 1 million won range. As of now, according to the official Louis Vuitton website, the 'LV Donut Bag Charm' is priced at 1.41 million won, the 'LV Croissant Bag Charm' at 1.36 million won, and the 'LV Chocolate Bar Figurine Key Holder & Bag Charm' at 1.05 million won.
