Turkey Imposes Full Curfew for 5 Days During New Year Holidays to Prevent COVID-19
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] Turkey will impose a nationwide curfew for five days during the New Year holiday to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
The Turkish Ministry of Health announced on the 15th (local time) that as a COVID-19 preventive measure, a curfew will be enforced nationwide from 9 p.m. on December 31 to 5 a.m. on January 4 of next year.
The Turkish government is already implementing weekday nighttime curfews and full weekend curfews.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey said, "Thanks to the public's sacrifice, the regulatory measures are showing positive effects."

Meanwhile, on the same day, Turkey recorded 29,617 new confirmed cases in one day, with a cumulative total of 1,866,345 confirmed cases.
