Gwangju City Certifies 20 'Excellent Job-Creating Companies'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 15th that it awarded the ‘Job Creation Excellence Certification’ to 20 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that contributed to employment stability through job creation.
This year’s job creation excellence companies were selected from those with an employment growth rate of over 5% despite difficulties such as decreased sales due to the impact of COVID-19. A comprehensive evaluation was conducted based on employment performance, employment retention rate, regular employee ratio, youth hiring performance, employee welfare, and hiring of vulnerable groups, resulting in a total of 20 companies being chosen.
These companies include Izen Co., Ltd., Chansle Co., Ltd., Dagong Solution, Izsoft Co., Ltd., Eunhye Enterprise Co., Ltd., Deoksung Food Co., Ltd., N-Gonggu Co., Ltd., Kimchi Town Co., Ltd., J2TomorrowOne, Yeeunse Co., Ltd., Hyundai Gijeon Tech Co., Ltd., Wooriwon Tech Co., Ltd., Primo Co., Ltd., Headline Co., Ltd., Wooyeon System Co., Ltd., UOK Co., Ltd., Ace Energy Co., Ltd., Hyundai Hitech Co., Ltd., Optonics Co., Ltd., and SI Tech Co., Ltd. Over the past year, they hired approximately 140 new employees, contributing to local job creation.
Certified companies will receive six types of financial benefits, including increased limits on management stabilization funds, and eight types of administrative support incentives, such as exemption from acquisition tax on corporate real estate, for two years starting January next year.
In this regard, since 2010 until last year, Gwangju City has discovered and certified 315 local companies that contributed to job creation and employment stability annually, providing administrative and financial incentives totaling 66.4 billion KRW.

Mayor Lee Yong-seop said, “Despite the prolonged difficulties of COVID-19, I thank you for actively practicing the value of Gwangju-type jobs based on social grand compromise through mutual cooperation between labor and management, communication, and empathy on the ground.” He added, “We will continuously provide incentives so that excellent job creation companies can grow into competitive global companies, and we will actively visit sites to help resolve companies’ difficulties.”
