Gwangju Dong-gu Office Employees Donate 'Neighbor Love Fund' Collected from Everyone's Contributions
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Employees of Dong-gu Office in Gwangju Metropolitan City delivered neighborly love donations so that neighbors in need can have a warm and happy year-end.
The Gwangju Community Chest of Korea (Chairman Han Sangwon) announced on the 15th that Dong-gu Office employees donated 6,365,000 won collected little by little.
The delivery ceremony was attended by Im Taek, head of Dong-gu Office; Song Gitaek, Director of Welfare and Economy Bureau; Park Jong-o, Director of Social Welfare Division; Jeong Yeongmi, Manager of Social Welfare Division; and Lee Seongdo, Secretary General of Gwangju Community Chest of Korea.
This donation was collected from 583 Dong-gu Office employees.
Im Taek, head of Dong-gu Office, said, “Dong-gu Office employees participated little by little to help neighbors in need. This winter will be even more difficult due to COVID-19, but I hope the delivered amount will be of some help, and the district office will actively respond to overcome the crisis.”
