Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education Announces Results of '2020 Jeonnam Education Photo Contest'

View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education announced on the 14th that it will hold an online and offline exhibition by selecting 20 works as the final winners of the '2020 Jeonnam Education Photo Contest.'
This exhibition is scheduled to be held under the theme 'Our Happy Time' until the 18th at the Gallery Eum on the first floor of the Provincial Office of Education and on the Jeonnam Education Portal 'Jeonnam Education Tong.'
The photo contest, held for Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education staff, received a total of 229 works from 125 participants from August 31 to November 9. The Office selected the winning works through a second-stage judging by photographers active in the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions.
As a result of the judging, 'Together is Fun' by Moon Dan-bi, a teacher at Muan Samhyang-dong Elementary School, was selected as the grand prize winner. Two works, including 'Hope to See the Bright Smile Again' by Baek Soon-hoon, a teacher at Yeosu Najin Elementary School, were awarded the excellence prize, and four works, including 'Hope to Laugh Freely' by Jeong Hyang-won, a teacher at Yeosu Jwasuyeong Elementary School, were selected for the merit prize. Additionally, 13 works, including 'Let's Jump Over Corona' by Go Eun-byeol, a teacher at Suncheon Seongnam Elementary School, received encouragement awards.
The judging panel stated, "Each photo reflects the joy of students and the affection of teachers, which was heartwarming," and added, "We hope it will change the stagnant atmosphere of the educational field and provide comfort and strength to the Jeonnam education family."
