Jangseong-gun Distributes 10,000 Convenience Chairs to Women Farmers
[Jangseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Jo Hangyu] Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Yoo Doo-seok) announced on the 14th that it has distributed 10,000 convenience chairs to reduce the workload of female farmers.
Female farmers are busy sorting harvests even in winter, when rest and recharging are needed.
Repeated agricultural work causes musculoskeletal disorders in areas such as the wrists, arms, shoulders, and lower back.
Using the convenience chairs provided by the county during agricultural work not only relieves physical burden but also helps correct posture.
Also, maintaining proper posture during work prevents strain on muscles, blood vessels, and nerves, thereby preventing chronic diseases.
The convenience chairs can be rented long-term for 1,000 won at the Agricultural Technology Center's Agricultural Machinery Rental Office, and are discarded once their durability period (1 year) is exceeded.
The Agricultural Machinery Rental Office rents out "female-friendly agricultural machinery," which has received positive responses from farming households.
