Jinju Mayor: "Foundation Completed for Fostering Wealth-Building Agriculture"
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] Jinju City in Gyeongnam announced on the 14th that it has completed the relocation of the Agricultural Technology Center building, a long-standing wish of local farmers, and has started new operations at the new building.
The relocation of the Agricultural Technology Center began construction in March last year and was completed on December 8 of this year, with a total project cost of 42.5 billion KRW. The site covers an area of 77,688㎡, and the building has a total floor area of 11,827㎡.
In particular, renewable energy facilities such as a geothermal system, solar power system, and LED lighting fixtures were installed to reduce carbon emissions. In addition to workspaces, the center will provide administrative services through various spaces including a Harmony Park, rest areas, cultural, and educational spaces.
Furthermore, the Southern Agricultural Machinery Rental Office within the Agricultural Technology Center will open in line with the building relocation and begin operations.
The rental office is equipped with facilities covering 1,987㎡, including an agricultural machinery storage warehouse and a soybean sorting facility, and plans to provide 218 units of 85 types of agricultural machinery such as tractors, excavators, and cultivators, enabling farmers to conveniently use agricultural machinery.
