What Were 'Apartments and Public Transportation' Like Back Then?...First Publication of a Book Documenting the History of National Land Development
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Jiwon] A catalog showcasing the development process of cities, housing, and architecture over different eras, as well as the history of public transportation, roads, railways, and aviation, will be published.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on the 14th that it will publish the first catalog to mark the 3rd anniversary of the National Land Development Exhibition Hall. This catalog compiles 300 permanent exhibition artifacts that embody the history of national land development over the past half-century.
The National Land Development Exhibition Hall, a specialized museum opened in November 2017 in Jeong-dong, Seoul, exhibits the development history of the national land and transportation sectors since the Korean War.
The permanent exhibition catalog is divided into four parts. Part 1 covers the development process of cities, housing, and architecture; Part 2 focuses on the advancement of public transportation, roads, railways, and aviation; Part 3 details the history of overseas construction ventures; and Part 4 introduces future national land technologies such as smart cities and zero-energy buildings.
Starting today, the National Land Development Exhibition Hall plans to upload the catalog in e-book format on its website and distribute it to national and public museums, libraries, and other institutions.
