According to Daegu City on the 14th, as of midnight, the cumulative number of cases in the Daegu area reached 7,365 (including 101 imported cases), an increase of 16 from the previous day. Among the 16 new confirmed cases, 5 are related to Yeongsin Church in Dalseong-gun, where a recent cluster infection occurred.
In Daegu, since 3 confirmed cases linked to Yeongsin Church were reported on the 10th, related cases have continued to emerge with 29 on the 12th and 13 on the 13th. In the Daegu metropolitan area, 11 residents who had contact with Yeongsin Church members in Gyeongsan (8) and Seongju (3), Gyeongbuk, also tested positive.
At the church, congregants gathered on the 4th and 6th for meetings, practicing praise and sharing meals together, and it was identified that some did not wear masks during the events.
