Integrated Union Welcomes National Assembly Passage of Special Act for Reinstatement of Dismissed Public Officials
"Hope to Become an Opportunity to Advance a Labor-Respecting Society"
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] The National Integrated Public Officials Labor Union (Chairman Lee Chung-jae · photo) issued a statement on the 9th, actively welcoming the passage of the special law regulating the reinstatement of dismissed public officials along with the dismissed workers.
The Integrated Union said, "Dismissed workers have endured the pain of dismissal for a long time simply because they were involved in public officials' labor union activities," and added, "We hope that with the passage of this special law, the reinstatement and restoration of honor for the dismissed workers will be swiftly achieved, allowing their pain to be somewhat healed."
They further emphasized that this legislative measure is expected to "serve as an opportunity to advance a labor-respecting society where public officials can proudly enjoy the labor rights guaranteed by the Constitution."

The special law reinstating public officials dismissed due to labor union activities has finally passed the plenary session of the National Assembly today.
We actively welcome the passage of this law together with the dismissed workers who have endured psychological pain for over a decade.
Dismissed workers have endured the pain of dismissal for a long time simply because they were involved in public officials' labor union activities. We hope that with the passage of this special law, the reinstatement and restoration of honor for the dismissed workers will be swiftly achieved, allowing their pain to be somewhat healed.
