Two Residents of Angang-eup, Gyeongju Continue Nth Infection... Four More Cases in Gyeongbuk Region as of Midnight on the 9th Compared to Previous Day

With 2 new confirmed cases among village residents in Angang-eup, Gyeongju, 1 in Pohang, and 1 imported case in Gumi, the total cumulative confirmed cases in the Gyeongbuk region reached 1,744 (including 104 imported cases) as of midnight on the 9th.
According to Gyeongbuk Province on the 9th, the new confirmed case number 132 in Gyeongju (from the Gyeongju local list) is a contact of case number 126 confirmed five days earlier, and case number 133 is a contact of case number 130.
The infection chain is as follows: Gyeongju case 121 (restaurant owner in their 60s) → 124 (121’s spouse) → 126 (butcher shop owner in their 60s) → 132, and from 126 → 130 → 133, indicating a high possibility of additional confirmed cases related to the restaurant and butcher shop.
In the past ten days, 32 residents in the Gyeongju area have been confirmed positive, including 18 related to traditional Korean music lessons at Yeungnam University. Among them, 8 are residents of Angang-eup, including the 2 patients (cases 132 and 133) confirmed positive on the afternoon of the 8th.
In Pohang city, one family member who had contact with a resident confirmed positive on the 28th of last month (Pohang case 114) tested positive before the end of self-quarantine. Pohang case 114 was found to have been infected by a confirmed case in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul.
