[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Nuritelecom has been selected as the final operator for the Green New Deal home smart power platform project promoted by the government.
Nuritelecom announced on the 8th that it signed an agreement with the Korea Smart Grid Business Group regarding the home smart power platform project.
The home smart power platform project is one of the Green New Deal projects promoted by the government. New businesses utilizing power big data are also expected to be possible.
Nuritelecom will replace existing old meters with new smart meters in 200,000 apartment units nationwide and collect and analyze power usage data. It is expected to become the first large-scale private energy service platform in Korea.
In addition to building the smart power platform infrastructure, Nuritelecom has formed a consortium with specialized companies in the energy service sector, demand response (DR) business, and the app service linked to the National Energy Pause. Nuritelecom will act as the responsible organization to build the smart power infrastructure and carry out the smart power platform project.
