Seoul Metropolitan Area Bank Branches to Shorten Business Hours by 1 Hour Starting Tomorrow... Until the 28th
Business Hours Adjusted to 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] Financial labor and management have agreed to temporarily shorten the operating hours of banks in the Seoul metropolitan area to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
According to the Korea Federation of Banks on the 7th, the Financial Industry Employers Council and the National Financial Industry Labor Union decided to temporarily shorten the operating hours of banks in the Seoul metropolitan area to prevent the spread of COVID-19 from expanding into a nationwide pandemic and to protect financial consumers and financial workers from infection.
During the period from the 8th to the 28th, when social distancing level 2.5 is applied, bank operating hours will be reduced by one hour from the previous schedule, operating from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM. However, on the first day of implementation, the 8th, the opening time will be set at 9:00 AM instead of 9:30 AM to avoid customer confusion.
