4 Additional COVID-19 Cases Confirmed at Goyang Nursing Home... Epidemiological Investigation Underway
[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Additional confirmed COVID-19 cases have been reported among nursing home residents and local residents in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do.
According to Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, three more individuals, including residents and staff of Ilsan Pellis Nursing Home where a COVID-19 cluster infection occurred the previous day (6th), tested positive.
Additionally, one resident at another nursing home in Ilsandong-gu tested positive, prompting a full investigation of 136 people related to that nursing home.
In Deogyang-gu and other areas, 16 residents were confirmed infected after contact with family members who had tested positive.
Health authorities have completed disinfection of their homes and surrounding areas and are conducting epidemiological investigations.

With these new cases, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases among Goyang citizens reached 823 as of 7 p.m. on the 6th.
