Magnitude 5.3 Earthquake off the Southwest Coast of Turkey
[Asia Economy Reporter Sung Kiho] On the 5th (local time), an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 or higher occurred in the southwestern coastal region of Turkey. So far, no casualties or property damage have been reported.
Foreign media cited the United States Geological Survey (USGS) reporting that at around 3:44 PM on the same day, an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 occurred in the sea area southwest of Gazipasa city in Antalya Province, southwestern Turkey.
The epicenter was identified at a depth of 82 km underwater, 49 km southwest of Gazipasa.
